COMPANY HISTORY

Since King Ocean Services de Venezuela was founded in 1.982, our company has grown steadily - adding ships and equipment and serving additional ports of call to facilitate growng customer demand. Today, we stand as an industry leader in containerized and general ocean transportation services.

Our staff of experienced cargo care specialists serves eleven countries in South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Along the way, King Ocean has achieved numerous successes in our company’s history.

In 1.982, we started weekly service to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao in the Caribbean.

In 1.986 service was extended to the ports of La Guaira, Puerto Cabello and Maracaibo in Venezuela.

In 1.990, King Ocean expanded to include weekly service to Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua in Central America.

In 1.991, the Florida Custom Brokers and Forwarders Association named King Ocean Central America "Firm of the Year".

In 1.992, we initiated weekly service to Port of Spain, Trinidad, and followed in 1.996 with weekly service to Barraquilla and Cartagena in Colombia.

In 1.996, the Florida Custom Brokers and Forwarders Association again "Firm of the Year".
